I have totally fallen for this series of books, and I wish that there were more than 3 in the series!!
In the second novel of the VAMPIRE POODLE MYSTERY SERIES, Mitzi Magee the Vampire Poodle and her owner Ed Magee are up to their old tricks as they cozy up to a luscious model named Sylvie and head off to Chicago to track down Ed's girlfriend-and-hybrid Clancy, who has been spirited away by the Prince of Vampires and Alicia's former lover, Ivan Kolchek.
Loaded with humor, sex and chills galore, the Mitzi Magee series will please even the most diehard of vampire fans and mystery fans alike!

After the first book I was so in love with the characters, I had a sort of form of withdrawal, just another reason of many to read the second book and so far my favourite character (next to Mitzi, of course), an amazingly enough loveable elderly vampire called simply "The Count" is still my favourite character, and I would love this series to go on and on and never stop. I have just purchased the last book in the series, but if I didn't have the Mitzi books to read I don't know how I should stand it so I am reading only a little bit at a time hoping the authors will get inspired and provide another volume and another, actually, and, well...another!One thing I love about these books are the totally nonesensical sentences that come out of nowhere and are hysterically funny. I have to go back and read them again just to enjoy them again. Something about these indicate to me that the authors are good people and appreciate life's subtleties.
I would hope these books make it to film and I could enjoy them all over again.

I really liked this series, wanted more. The dog is hilarious. I loved the concept of a vampire dog, with a human owner. would like to read more of Mitzi.

Who would've thought that a poodle, formerly owned by the "Queen of Vampires," a former newspaper reporter, and a gorgeous, good-hearted grifter could form a partnership intent on saving the world?
The second, Mitzi novel does just that.
Picking up where the the first book ended, Blood Scent, follows Ed Magee, Mitzi, and Sylvie to The Windy City of Chicago in search of his love, Clancy, and the Self-proclaimed, "King of the Vampires," Kolchek. Along the way, the trio form an un-easy bond as Ed tries to make Sylvie, and her fashion-model room-mates, (who just happen to be beautiful twin sisters,) believe him regarding the world of vampires, telepathy, and hero-poodles!
Reluctantly, they band together to help Ed reclaim his beloved girlfriend, Clancy, and along the way, experience first-hand how terrifying, intimidating and sociopathic vampires can be.
It should also be mentioned that this is a Second Edition, and the "airport location," has been corrected, as well as typos & other small errors.

I really enjoyed the series.
Dare I say it? The Vampire Poodle Mysteries is just "doggone" good! Suspense, Romance, Humor, and Blood-sucking Vampires, what more could you ask for?
I love these books and a vampire poodle cracks me up. I am not a "vampire" fan but really enjoyed reading this series
This series is entertaining though one must suspend belief. I can overlook a lot but there are many typos and improper word usages which, while not affecting the story, do irritate me. But what I can't overlook is major factual errors, esp. the authors having moved Lambert Field from St. Louis to Chicago. I also noticed a few other minor geographical errors but that one is inexcusable. Is it that difficult to be accurate with place names? Don't think so. Please hire a decent editor or, if you did use one, fire him or her.
